Some artists want to be recognized.
Others want their art to be recognized.

A common thought when looking at contemporary art is "I could do that." As in why should the artist be paid for a work that anyone could do?

In art, it isn't whether anyone could do it, but whether anyone did do it.

There are two types of achievements, those of action and those of creation. Achievements of action are things like sports and fighting. Achievements of creation are the arts.

It seems to me that achievements of creation, images and stories especially, are not achievements of the self. It is not the creator who deserves praise so much as it is the creation. Yet a creator should be proud for their creation. For while the achiever of action has pride in himself he will be forgotten. But the creation will last forever.

Does anyone still want them to bring back Xevoz? They were awesome action figures you could swap limbs and heads with to make custom figures. they should seriously have done better, maybe if they'd had star wars or marvel figures, that would have been so cool.
